Albemarle Cator

Major General Albemarle Bertie Edward Cator CB DSO (12 April 1877 – 18 November 1932) was a British Army officer who commanded London District and Major-General commanding the Household Division.
==Military career==
Cator was commissioned into the Scots Guards〔(''Armorial families: a directory of gentlemen of coat-armour'' by Arthur Charles Fox-Davies (Volume 1), p.87 )〕 in 1897.〔(Liddell Hart Centre for Military Archives )〕 He served in the Second Boer War and in World War I taking part in the Battle of Passchendaele in 1917.〔(General's death in hunting field ) The Advocate, 21 November 1932〕 He became Commander of Lucknow District in India in 1927 before becoming General Officer Commanding London District and Major-General commanding the Household Division in April 1932.〔(Army Commands )〕
He lived at Trewsbury near Cirencester and died in a hunting accident in November 1932.〔(Conqueror 194 )〕
